Creating opportunities. Unlocking possibilities.

The Olivia Douglas Community Services Society is here to help people in the community achieve independence, support, and friendship. We believe in creating opportunities to connect, and unlocking the possibilities of the people we support each and every day.

We support the mind by supporting our clients wishes, wherever that takes them.

We support community by running virtual, at-home programs for the clients we support.

We create a virtual home for people to be taken care of, loved, and supported, wherever you are.

One of our Directors is resigning

March 3, 2021 in Society Updates

A valued member of the ODCS Society team who has been appointed to the board twice has handed in her resignation, effective Friday March 5th at noon.

Gillian Forsythe has been a critical team player in developing and supporting the services that ODCS runs and operates, and everyone at the society is saddened to witness her departure. We wish her well in her future endeavours, and it is our hope that she returns to the society in a more stable manner soon.

Introducing our Peers Being Peers Program

March 3, 2021 in Program Updates

We’re proud to announce that we are launching our Peers Being Peers program with the partnership from Community Living BC.

The Peers Being Peers program is a free flowing social group on Zoom that lasts two hours each week, on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM. Here, participants can connect with the greater disability community at large. Registration is required to participate, and is open to anybody with diverse abilities that wants to participate.
